The ARC was re-opened on 13th February 2010 after 11 months of closure following the departure of the previous operating company.

The new operating company (the ARC (Caterham) Ltd is a not-for-profit co-operative company staffed predominantly by the ACT Theatre Company which approached the Trust and asked to run the venue.

The co-operative company is made up of shareholding members who have purchased between £50 and £20,000 worth of shares. The shareholders become members of the company with an active voice in how the company is to be run and each member, regardless of the size of their shareholding has one vote.
